Pressure Treated Front Steps & Landing Replacement in Fall River, MA

This Fall River homeowner needed their entire front entry replaced – steps, landing, and all. The old pressure treated stairs had rotted out at the base, the landing was spongy, and the whole assembly had shifted. We removed everything down to the footings and rebuilt it clean with fresh pressure treated lumber and proper concrete support at grade.

Front entry work is something we do constantly throughout Fall River. The city has a lot of older housing stock with wood steps that are overdue for replacement, and we’ve rebuilt hundreds of them over the years. The key is getting the footings right – without solid support at the base, stairs just shift and rot again within a few years regardless of what lumber you use.

On this job we also installed new pressure treated handrails on both sides to bring it up to current code. Clean job, done right, and the homeowner has stairs that should outlast the house.
